The SIGNET Collaborative is an international group of clinicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and family advocates dedicated to improving skin integrity care for extremely preterm infants (babies born before 28 weeks' gestation). Recognising the unique vulnerabilities of this population, SIGNET aims to build evidence, improve knowledge and skin care practices to maintain integrity through research, shared learning, and collaborative problem-solving.

Purpose
SIGNET Collaborative Network aims to
Improve the consistency and quality of skin integrity assessment and outcomes through harmonised tools, research protocols and clinical assessment strategies
Advance best practices in the prevention, assessment, and management of skin injuries in extremely preterm infants
Build a platform for collaboration between clinicians and researchers across diverse institutions and countries
Promote exchange of knowledge, shared problem-solving, and co-design solutions to clinical challenges - Special focus in the first 28 days of life, but continuing throughout neonatal stay
Align research and skin care activities with the needs of neonates and their families
